Our Story

I took on leather crafting because I needed a new wallet but couldn’t find anything that was thoughtfully made. The scent of leather immediately transported me to a particular memory.

As a child, my father would take our family on strolls to the beachfront of our seaside town under the shadow of Vesuvius, a snoozing giant that has, for generations, shaped and sharpened the resilience of the region’s inhabitants.

During the summer, my father would forgo his classic, pocketed blazer and opt for a small crossbody leather satchel instead. I remember its compact size, a simple carryall for a man with a few minor possessions.

Most of all, I remember the aromatic scent of the leather infused with tobacco. Years later, my father gifted me that bag, leaving me a remnant of his past.

Leather looks better with age, unlike most other materials we use today. Scuff marks and creases etched into the hide can make it more charming over time. Blemishes and scars become vestiges of a well-lived past, remnants of its former owner.

Today, my wife Anna and I are building this company with a dream: to make thoughtfully designed and better products. We handcraft leather valuables that travel well from past to future, between countries and continents, using only simple, traditional techniques.
